Objective:
The Supervisory Management Programme is intended to develop knowledge, skills and to encourage and facilitate participants to contribute to the success of the company. The term 'leadership' is often used interchangeably with 'management' and yet it is different. Whereas management is about rational thinking, leadership appeals more to the emotions; and yet leadership is an important component of management. Business owners and managers at all levels need to be developed.
When we refer to ‘transformational leadership’ we are speaking about the leadership and management skills used to move a company successfully from its current state to an envisaged future state with the support and input of its employees.

Upon completion participants will have:
- a good understanding of the role of the Supervisor in achieving growth and success;
- a greater understanding of different management styles and their impact;
- a greater understanding of people’s behavioural styles and their impact;
- learned some of the skills required in order to achieve growth and success;
- increased the emotional intelligence skills relevant to their role, including communication skills, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, people management and problem solving;
- increased their understanding of team dynamics thus enabling them to manage and maintain effective teams.

Methodology
Optional Profile development and self-assessment using the Bar On Emotional Quotient inventory Profile input, discussion, individual and group/team exercises, use of video, executive coaching and participation of line manager (where applicable) and other appropriate methods as indicated by participant needs.
